Team of Polythene Craft

Polythene Craft consists of three highly energetic youth who have been working as climate activists for a long time. Now they are trying to run a social business to make employment for climate migrants.

Al Mahmud

Al Mahmud, CEO

The founder of the Polythene Craft, Al Mahmud, is a climate activist and social entrepreneur working as a Young Feminist Fellow with Oxfam. He completed his bachelor's degree in public administration from Jahangirnagar University in 2025 and is studying for a master's in the same department. As a climate migrant, he is working for resilience building, just transition, and women's empowerment.

Sadia

Sadia Islam, CTO

Sadia Islam, the Chief Technical Officer, is a 4th-year student, studying Geography and Environment at Jahangirnagar University. To discipline her life, joined in JU BNCC platoon and retired as a Cadet Corporal. As a passionate climate activist, she works as Deputy General Secretary in Green Crescent, JU unit. To serve humanity, working as Research and Publication Secretary in the Leo Club of Jahangirnagar University One Plus. Besides, conducting research about women's challenges for climate change in Baghutia of Manikganj.

Arpita

Arpita Prodhan, CFO

The Chief Financial Officer, Arpita Prodhan, is A 4th-year student of Geography and Environment at Jahangirnagar University. She is deeply committed to climate and environmental action, evidenced by her roles as the Head of Publication and Research for the Green Crescent, JU Unit. Acting as the General Secretary for the organization, Dhowni. She also contributes as a General Member of the Leo Club of Jahangirnagar University One Plus.

From brainstorming to implementation, we work as a team, and we believe our combined efforts will bring change to the lives of climate migrants.
